Singularity1 ("Singularity1", "we", "us" or "our") is an AI automation studio that builds custom AI systems for businesses worldwide. We operate the website at singularity1.io (the "Site").

We take privacy seriously and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

This policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site and through our general business activities, such as when you book a strategy call, email us, or otherwise get in touch.

It does not cover data we process on behalf of clients as part of a client engagement. That data is handled under the terms of the relevant client agreement, and the client remains responsible for it as the data owner.

Information you give us directly:

• Contact and business details you provide when you book a strategy call, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and anything you tell us about your business.
• The content of emails, messages and calls when you correspond with us, including notes we take during consultations.

Information collected automatically when you use the Site:

• Technical and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages and the dates and times of visits.
• Cookies and similar technologies that support this collection. See section 5 for details.

Information from third-party sources:

• We use a business visitor identification service (currently Leadsy / vtag.ai) that helps us understand which businesses visit the Site. It may combine your IP address and cookie data with information from public or licensed business databases, such as a company name and business contact details, so that we can follow up with businesses that showed interest in our services.

We collect, hold and use personal information to:

• Respond to your enquiries and provide the information or consultations you request.
• Schedule, prepare for and follow up on strategy calls.
• Provide, scope and deliver our services and manage our client relationships.
• Understand how the Site is used so we can improve its content and performance.
• Contact businesses that have visited the Site or engaged with us about services we think are relevant to them. You can opt out of marketing contact at any time.
• Keep the Site secure and prevent fraud, misuse and abuse.
• Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the Site to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you by automated means.

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and provide insight into how they are used. The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential operation of the Site.
• Analytics, so we can see which pages and content are most useful.
• Business visitor identification, as described in section 3, so we can recognise the businesses (not private individuals) showing interest in our services.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as intended, but you can still browse it.

We only share personal information where it is needed to run our business:

• Service providers who help us operate, such as our scheduling provider (Calendly), email and productivity providers, website hosting providers, and analytics and visitor identification providers. These providers are only authorised to use your information to provide their services to us.
• Professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, where required.
• Government bodies, regulators or other parties where the law requires or permits us to do so.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These include access controls, encrypted connections to the Site and limiting access to information to people who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it.

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for making a request.

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at info@singularity1.io and we will look into it promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

If you visit the Site from a region with its own data protection laws, such as the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, the right to object to certain processing, and the right to data portability. Where those laws apply, we rely on legitimate interests (running and promoting our business), your consent, or the performance of a contract as our legal bases for processing.

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, such as our Calendly booking page. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We recommend reading their policies before providing personal information to them.

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Site or the law. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site where practical.
